The first textile machinery show in China in 2008 - The 9th China (Qingdao) International Textile Machinery Fair (QITMF) will be held from April 10-12, 2008 at Qingdao International Convention Center, Shandong Province, PR China. The show is the joint effort of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, Hong Kong, and Qingdao Haiming International Exhibition Co. Ltd.
Textile industry in Shandong Province has built up a solid foundation in 2007 with a gradual development. In 2008, textile enterprises will carry out further "The 11th Five-year Development Plan" and "The Proposal for Constructive Enhancement and Adjustment of Textile Production in Shandong Province". More local enterprises are utilizing scientific methods for formulating the strategic directions. This trend will streamline the production chain in textile industrial, stimulate the development of supporting facilities, as well as speed up the elimination of ineffectiveness production force. In the light of the keen competition in the industry, many exhibitors, including international brands, choose to stage at QITMF. They are expected to occupy the exhibiting area of 18,000sqm this year.
QITMF 2008 edition breaks their record in exhibiting area, where over one-third of the area has been taken up by overseas exhibitors. Numerous new overseas exhibitors will appear in QITMF, including Pilotelli Macchine Tessili, Steiger (China) Co. Ltd., Shima Seiki Win Win Ltd, Chemtax Industrial Co. Ltd / Santoni S.p.A. & H. Stoll GmbH, Jakob Mueller Machinery (Chna) Co. Ltd etc. Furthermore, the theme of "Specialization and Finest Brands" is the highlight of QITMF 2008.
In order to facilitate the visit, the show is comprised of 5 thematic zones, namely knitting machinery zone, label-making, braiding and weaving machinery zone, printing, dyeing & finishing machinery zone and spinning machinery zone respectively.

During the show period, the organizers will invite renowned textile experts to conduct a series of conferences/seminars introducing innovative materials, skills and technologies. This will heighten the self-awareness among textile professionals in better control on production capability, thus speed up elimination of out-dated and low cast outputs. With the improvement in technology and innovations, there will be an upgrade in both quality and quantity of textile outputs, and thus buildup their local brands and upcast the entire industry.
According to the textile professionals' analysis, QITMF will surely contribute to the development of textile industry in Shandong Province and Northern China areas. In view of the number of new faces in the list of overseas exhibitors whom will premiere their innovative machinery, particularly in knitting machinery, will surely create a new trend in the industry.
